Eye Care Vouchers
The Trust has joined an eyecare scheme with Specsavers which supports those employees who use DSE equipment continuously throughout the day. The aim is to ensure users can comfortably see the screen and work effectively without visual fatigue.
The Specsavers Scheme provides:
A full eye test every two years;
£50 complete glasses: One complete pair of glasses from the £50 range, fitted with standard single vision lenses plus a scratch-resistant treatment when required solely for DSE use. It does not give a contribution to glasses needed for additional tasks, such as reading or driving;
£50 towards glasses: The £50 contribution can be used towards an upgrade to other frame ranges, when required solely for VDU use and you pay the difference.
Should you wish to take advantage of the scheme, please contact the central Trust office who, if you are eligible, will issue you with a voucher to use at your local Specsavers opticians.
Employee Assistance Programme
Funded by the Trust, school staff can access a range of emotional and practical support including:
A range of counselling options including telephone, online or face-to-face sessions, and a mindfulness module.
A dedicated coaching service for line managers, aimed at developing soft skills and building confidence for handling challenging situations.
Financial, legal and practical support from qualified professionals on a range of personal issues.
Access to online health and wellbeing resources and a specialist information service.

Staff Leave
As per the Trust’s Leave of Absence policy, you are able to take 1 day’s paid emergency leave to support with a dependant or family emergency.
In addition, there is leave offered for adoption, antenatal care, bereavement, graduation and moving home. Please refer to the Leave of Absence policy for specific details.
